Paths of Discovery Life Coaching ~ Soul Garden
This peaceful garden is for relaxation and rejuvenation. Come in, and enjoy the quiet as you focus on what you need to recharge. Take time to "smell the flowers" as you unwind from the days activities.
Take a few moments to clear away the distractions around you, and gather your thoughts. Breathe deeply and let go of whatever was going on in your life before you arrived. Focus your attention and energy toward what you want to receive from this time of rejuvenation.
The flowers of the field are crying to be heard,
The trees of the forest are singing,
And all of the mountains with one voice,
Are joining in the chorus of this world,
Running through the forest, dive into the lake,
Bare feet on beaches white,
Standing in the canyon, painted hills around,
And the wind against my skin,
Every ocean, every sea, every river, every stream,
Every mountain, every tree, every blade of grass will sing.
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth

“... fix your attention on God. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. You will be changed from the inside out." Romans 12:2 – Message/NIV

How would you ideally like to begin each day?
Consider this, as you awake, before jumping out of bed, take time to stop. Look out your window, and thank God for the beauty of the day. Before letting your mind run to the zillion tasks you feel you must accomplish, take time to pray about the things for which you are grateful.
Begin your morning routine by reading, writing or watching something positive, inspirational, and motivating. Start your day with a positive, peaceful tone. Ask God to show you how you can be of service and purposeful. Then pay attention to the opportunities that await you in the remainder of your day.
As you go throughout your day, take note of your thoughts and inner dialogue. Are they consistently positive or negative? Are the majority of your thoughts based in the past, present or future?
At the end of the day, consider asking yourself these questions. Recording your answers, thoughts and ideas in a journal might be helpful.
|
How did I start my day?
What positive, affirming, thoughts did I have?
What opportunities did I notice or take advantage of?
What was purposeful about my day?
How much thought process and energy went toward the past, present and future?
How did I take time to nuture my relationship with God?
What concerns, blocks or problems did I have? |
Write an affirmation and recite it everyday until you feel it sink into your soul. Include that you love, accept and honor who you are in this moment. Include how your day benefits by starting it with God and a higher purpose.

“How often – even before we began – have we declared a task “impossible?” And how often have we constructed a picture of ourselves as being inadequate?... A great deal depends upon the thought patterns we choose and on the persistence with which we affirm them.” Piero Ferrucci |
